I dont know too much about this topic and I have a few questions. Mainly, should I be feeding my corals and what? I have a torch coral that I was told when I purchased it should be fed brine or mysis shrimp occasionally. I have been doing this and dont know if it helps or not. I was told that I dont need to feed zoos or xenia and I dont know about food for SPS. Do most people feed their corals or just let them live off the light? I have researched and it seems that there is a huge debate. Some people feed nothing, and some people dump more money into their tanks than I spend on gas for my car. Just curious what most of you guys do. I have a small tank, 12g, so water quality is a concern but I do want to make sure that I am getting the best health, color, and growth out of everything. Thanks.

This is one of those subjects where everyone will have a different opinion. As for my tank I feed Kent ChromaPlex two to three times per week and spot feed mysis and reef plankton to the meat eaters one to tw times a week. You have to remember that what goes in produces other effects, it is also easy to overfeed and cause a whole new set of problems. Along with feeding I also make sure to dose B-ionic two part and I do a 5g water change each week to replenish minerals. Don't know if I am doing everythin right or not, but my tank looks good to me. Hope this helps and I also hope others will give you their advice to help you out.

like he said everyone is diffrent i dont feed zooplex or phytoplex on a regular basis ive always heard you have enough stuff in your water for em so i almost never feed and if my corals get brine or mysis its from when im feeding the fish so ill ride along on this thread and see if a successful consensus arises
