Can anyone suggest a good hang-on skimmer for my 30 gal. I have used a pin wheel by coralife, and a prizm by red sea, but I don't really like them. Any ideas?

Whats your budget like? And what would you be willing to save up for?

The Coralife needle wheels have been getting stellar reviews, what didnt you like about it?

I've heard the only Coralife worth owning is the 220.

You might try an AquaC remora. I've heard mixed reviews and I was not satisfied with mine. I've read elsewhere that they are hand built and the air mix screw does not always end up in the "perfect" place. I've heard excellent reviews of "Starphire" brand nano skimmers that fit inside NanoCubes. Stay away from the Current Fission nano skimmers, they'd make a neat key chain and that's about all.

I may get shot at.. but i had a Seaclone 100 on a 25 gal. It worked great! :ph34r

I had a remora on a 55 gal, and I had problems with the air mix screw, budget would be around a few hundred if it was an awesome skimmer

I own a Remora Pro with a Mag3 and its just ok at best. I dont know what ya'll are refering to as an 'air mix screw' , Remoras are an injection type skimmer which doesnt use a venturi, the white nylon screw simply gives access to the injector for cleaning.

If you have a couple hundred to spend would a Deltec ME300 work? TexReefer had one and decided to get the 600 before using it. He swears by it now.

Thats what I was leaning towards to. If your planning on keeping this tank for a good while, invest wisely. Deltec :)
