Wow! I've heard for years of soaking a pump in a mix of water and vinegar to clean it , but never tried it until this weekend. It works great!
Just thought I'd let evereyone know who hasn't tried it yet. You need to do it.

I would if the cost of vinegar was lower. I think I will post how to make it DIY

I'm with you. I was shocked at how well it worked.
I just tried it a week ago and it worked so well I started cleaning every pump, powerhead, etc. I own.

It's dirt cheap at Sam's Club. 2.40 for 2 gallons.

Try the pickling vinegar. Its a stronger solution. HEB sells it right next to the regular stuff. It will be in a blue label bottle rather than a green one.

White vinegar is just as cheap as spit..

do NOT carry it inside your vehicle though
it took a $10k upgrade to get rid of the smell 8)
