Ok, who knows how to figure the number of gallons a tank should hold?

I know LxWxH to get volume of a cube, but from there, how do you get gallons?

I am thinking of having a tank built that is 25x18x25, or thereabouts, and am interested to know what size it will be.

I'm sure there are others, but

www.garf.org

On the left there is a folder that says calculators. Click on it and then you will see tank volume calculator then just plug in the dimensions.

Looks like is should be 49 gallons empty. you can also calculate volume based on livesand and liverock amounts, but I dont know how accurate all that is.

231 in3/gal

Not accounting for glass thickness, not filing it to the brim, sandbed, etc., etc., etc.

25x18x25 = 11,250 in3 = 48.7g

Suh-weeet!!! Thanks, fellas. I am planning on having a custom cabinet built, and possibly a hood. I am planning on using the Odyssea light with the 250MH, pcs and moonlights built in (ignorant, sorry), and this one is gonna hve a real fuge/sump, and real plumbing...YAY!!!!

I don't know what I will do with the 29 BioCube, maybe sell it. If you might be interested in the cube with factory stand, LMK.

Ohhhhhh. The 29 biocube. I love that size tank. Must stay strong. Hahaha. Your new tank sounds like it will quite a nice setup. I'm sure you could sell the BC on here or craigslist or something to fund the new project.
