I recently bought a 24 Gallon Aquapod with the 64 w lights (not the metal halide version). It worked fine for about two weeks then the fan started to make a horrible noise that got worse until the cooling fan finally stopped working. I bought two different fans to try to fix it but neither worked. A computer repairman that I work with said the circuitboard was not providing the amount of power the fans needed. I then sent an email to Dr. Foster and Smith (the company I ordered the tank from) and explained the situation and asked them what part I needed to order from them to fix the hood and I could not return the setup because I had corals and fish in there.
My wife informed me that she had recieved a phone call from some doctors (lol) and I told her I would call them back on the weekend because I get home from work late and I am tired after fighting the insane virginia traffic. Well, I get home from work yesterday (6-14-07) and my wife has a box and is angry that I have been ordering more fish stuff. I had not ordered anything but in the box was a replacement hood for my nano tank. I called Dr. Foster and Smith and they said that I should get a letter in the mail with a label on it so I can return the old hood free of charge.
Talk about good service :)
My nano is back up and running with lights on!
