hummm well i come home today and there is some really really weird spiral thing on one of my rocks. It must have of grown there while i was at work. could anybody help me figure out what it is, so i can stop freaking out.

and dont look at my scratches its a very old kitty tank.

its about the size of a nickle.

hmmm...maybe eggs from a snail or something?? never seen anything like it.

thank you so much guys for some reason i thought that it might have of been some kind of worm but i did a little research and its the Lettuce slug's eggs. thanks everybody

That is the smallest, ugliest tank I have ever seen!!! Why don't you get a real tank, like, well, any of us??

Just kidding, bro. Glad you were able to ID the stuff...I remember the first (dozen) times I saw weird stuff in the tank...that explains the 15 or so different marine aquarium books I now own.

By the way, I have your frags ready, and you can pick em up anytime...call before you come, and bring the boy.

They are either snail or sea slug eggs. I've watched both lay eggs and they look exactly like that. I think I saw the sea hare in NB lay eggs and they looked like that too- I could be mistaken and just been watching another snail in the hare tank. I can't remember! I'm fired :(

hummm I only have 1 lettuce slug but i just recently got it. do snails fertalize the eggs after they are layed? or should i move this rock to my refugium
