Since we were not able to get the dry rock in this month I will be taking pre-paid orders for Walt Smith Fiji Premium live rock. All orders must be in by the 17th. The price is $99.99 for one box (about 50 lbs). All orders must be picked up the day they arrive. It should be in on 6-20 or 6-21. You all are welcome to split the boxes up, and we can divide the charges up at the store, but dont really have room to open up the boxes and split them here.

this is an excellent deal. thanks ed, even though Im only dreaming of my large tank I hope these deals will be around till then. Id shop at your store more if I lived anywhere near it just because of your generosity. my one purchase from your store (B&W Clown) is doing great, but I was only in your area because of a funeral. so if anyone else dies, or I get my tank upgrade, Im going to wolf reef. thanks ed.

I just paid for a box of rock. While talking to ed it appears that only about 6 boxes have been paid for. Come on guys and girls you can't beat the price. $2.00 a lb for rock. Lets support Ed and his effort to bring in deals for the MAAST comunity. Only a few days left before the order deadline.

Soooo....was he driving back with the rock or was it being delivered from a shipping company? If its just being delievered, I do not see why one of the other people that run the shop could be there to give it out.
Friday kinda puts me in a bind...plus I'm sure others too that are driving in from out of town to get the rock.

Thank you Ed for going above and beyond! I'm very happy to have mine as well.
I think that I know the answer to this but should I just give the rock a couple good swishes in saltH2O and place in the tank with the other rock that is already in there? The only real visible signs of life to date in the tank is a mushroom, a small colony of zoa's, and a couple feather dusters or tube worms.
I wouldn't call this rock cured, but I'd like to try and keep any life that may be on it.
Thanks again Ed!

I believe you should cure the rock. I placed mine in 20 gallons last night and the ammonia was high this morning.

If you want to speed it up I would recomend using a new dish brush to scrub off all of the dead algae and sponge from the rock, also you may want to do a fresh water dip on it to catch any bad hitch hikers. We have found several welks before. If it is a new tank you can cure it in the tank and this will help to make your sand "live".
