What if anything can be done for RTN?
Fragging usually doesnt work, are there any dips or procedures that anyone has come across to help save corals from this untimely demize.

I've heard that one cause for RTN is that the skeleton of the coral will absorb phosphates and sometimes bad algae spores will adhere under the flesh and start growing on the skeleton of the coral. At that point nothing can be done as it really is dying from the inside out. Perhaps you've seen dead SPS that were green, red or pink instead of bleach white? I was told that those are the signs of the above mentioned possibilities.

Barry, any problems with your recent corals? I have one that's giving me problems. I cut the dying part off, and it did fine for about 24 hours. Then another "stalk" rtn'd and I did an iodine dip last night, and didn't cut. I figured it was hurting bad enouth. I'm going to do anther quick dip tonight, but seems to be holding it's own.
