I know that the 1/2" bulkhead require a 1 1/8" hole for the bulkhead to fit through. I was wondering if it would work through a 1 1/4" hole. I have the holesaw for 1 1/4" but I would have to go get a 1 1/8" holesaw if it won't work. This will be through the plastic on the AP 12g tank that seperates the display from the chambers so that I can add another pump for added flow. I know with my 1" bulkheads I drilled a 1 3/4" hole but it could have been larger and still covered but I am not sure on the 1/2" bulkheads.

Thanks
Doug

i would think it depends on the gasket contact with the tank i might stick to what is reccommended .... for drilling thru plastic the 5 bucks spent on the right size hole rather than the 35 on the wet dry vaccum

True I just thought I would see I was planning on going to Lowes and getting the 1 1/8" saw and not worry about it. I just want to hide the second pump in the chambers rather then behind rocks in the display. thanks for the info.

I agree with the prior. I have a hole that's a little larger than should be and have to be extremely careful or the gasket will bow up on the sides and start leaking.

I may have a 1 1/8 attachment for my kit, but it would cost more in gas to come get it than buying one at the Lowes there.
