How do I kill it? I have tried to pull it out and it continues to grow and comes out of nowhere. It is over some rockwork that is very heavy and difficult to pull out...

nah, just a mishap with pH will do the trick.... not that you want to do that because when it dies in your tank, it releases all kinds of nastiness.

You could try scrubbing it with a toothbruch during a water change. Syphoning out the xenia as you brush. then do a water change again the next day to lower the polution level.

ph mishap? raise or lower and at what level? could this harm the corals? how about injecting it with something?

dont go changing your pH/alkalinity to kill xenia, it will affect your other corals. i just accidentally killed all of the xenia that people gave me with a calcium reactor problem that dropped my alkalinity and caused pH swings. i guess you could try injecting with kalk paste, but again - when it dies, it really does pollute the water pretty bad.

I'd manually remove it. You really, really don't want the toxins from it in your tank...
