As I posted in the General forum im coming back to the hobby. Looking at getting a cube or corner. Was originally thinking retrofit Pc's or VHO, but found this 250w retrofit MH kit at hello lights. Anyone have a advice on rather this is a good kit or sould i go with something else. The tank will be mostly softies most likely.

That is the same setup that I purchased a couple of months ago and have had no problems with it. The only thing that I would recommend is that you call in the order. I ordered two of them with bulbs and I think the total came out to $405 and some change shipped.

Then I called back in and order some four foot T5 bulbs and a few other things and he still gave it to me with out adding more shipping charges. Great customer service.

no wayyyy thats the whole setup for 135? WOW. All you need is the lamp cord then?

Erik, that does not include the bulb. And they added 30ft of the 18G wire also. I really suggest calling them if you decide to order.

Thanks SA-DSM for the quick responce and the advice. Erik Its everything except the bulb, The powercord also comes with it.

I've oered one of the 250 and 2 of the 150 with not issues. I did change from Pheonix 14 to Reeflux 10 K and they flicker. I've heard this is a known issue with some of the reeflux though.

I called them and they are sending new Ushio bulbs and taking back the reeflux.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

Do call in and when you order ask if they will work with you on the shipping. On the past 4 orders they have taken 5% off to help obsorb the cost. Talk with Andy.
