interesting and a great find. I had a little on a rock but I took it out and dried in the sun for about a week. Worked great but this is a nano not a big tank and the problem on the bottom rock. lol Thanks for the information

Josh and I have been talking about this thread for weeks, I believe he is currently raising his Mag levels as we speek... slowly of course...

or he may not have started...

who knows.. but I am pretty sure he's gonna try it!!!!

or not...

josh, you might regret that, did you see some of the negative effects people have reported w/ just going for it? I would do it over a few days.

Ahhh, I was curious why they weren't just using epsom salt for the Mag. I didn't read far enough into it yet either.

Actually, if you read WAY into it, there's some discussion that Epsom Salts might work better?

I'll be home all weekend, you can come by my house and test too!

BTW, every time I start dosing stuff to "fix" it, it just screws it up. I was trying to raise my alkalinity, and I swear it just got worse. So, yesterday evening I just changed 110 gallons of water.

Yup. 10-5 gallon buckets, 1-20g container, 1-40g water top off. Most of 1 bucket of Reef Crystals.

But normally, I use my 40 container for water changes. That's 15-20%.
