I have been thinking about adding additional flow to my 215. Presently the only flow I have is coming from the main pump (dart) and two tunze 6100s on a controller. The flow is strong and there is a lot of turbulence but there are a few areas where I don't think enough flow gets there. Anyway, I was thinking about a wavebox? or a few nano streams? or even the vortech? The other issue is that I don't want sand all over the place. Any suggestions/ recommendations?

sharkboy, i am very impressed with the hydor koralias, i wouldn't leave them off your list, and they are quiet and fairly priced as well.

First off whats your budget like? Are you going expensive or cheap? If the dead spots are in corners or portions of the rock, I would go with the nanostreams. You can get the non-controllable ones or dish out a little more money and get the ones you can connect to your multicontroller.

The wavebox and vortech are great 'pumps' but you already have enough flow from the 6100's and the Dart. I would just target your weak spots first.

I am more concerned with quality and longevity so don't mind spending money...so tha nanostreams can be hooked up to my 7095 controller?

There are 3 different models of the Tunze NanoStreams:
6025
6045
6055

Only the 6055 can be hooked up to the multicontroller. Not sure if that one is out on the market yet. Last time I looked up these suckers was back in December. They said they would have the 6055's out in a few months...but its May already :roll

I don't think you can get much better quality and customer service than Tunze.

I was really considering the wavebox but it is sort of unsightly....

Is there really such a thing that is cheap in saltwater?

Yup

Compare a $50-$80 powerhead to a $300-$500 powerhead/wavebox ;)

Are the wires on the nano streams located on the outside? I really don't want any visible wires in the tank....

No the motor for the nano streams is located inside the tank. It only has a magnet holder on the outside. The Vortech is the only powerhead I am aware of with the wires on the outside, since the motor is located outside the glass.
