I just finished puttin in my 2 MJ 1200 mods. They have the big prop on them so ive heard people say they do 2500 each thats 5000 gph plus the mag 9.5 for a return pump so 5800 gph give or take a couple hundred gph. Is this too much for a 100 tank? The reason i ask is cause my fish look like they can barely swim. I mean my firefish could barely make it to his hiding spot! I dont plan on any sps for a long while so should i just unplug one?

Without SPS you could unplug one. Everything will take time to adjust to the new flow. Most fish will relish the current and even swim into it, once used to the new flow.

Just keep tinkering with them until they aren't blowing sand and fish around. Mike's right, they will swim straight into it. My midas blenny decided it would be fun to swim into the current coming off my seio 820 and it kinda lodged his jaw open for a few days. Poor little brat!

I dont even have any corals in the tank right now and its bare bottom so i have them in each top corner both aimed to the center. They did do a good job of cleaning off my bottom blew stuff out I never knew was there

personally on a bare bottom tank I think you have them in the perfect spot pointing at the front glass like that... I have sand and Im doing something similar and it looks funny because the middle of my tank has a little sand and the two front corners have hills :)

well... I know the Koralias have a more dispersed flow, but I have TWO 3's in my oceanic 30 cube... perfect! :)
tons of flow, really keeps stuff suspended in the water so the skimmer can pull it out.

oh, and i think that would be about the equivalent of 1200 GPH
