So I bought 2 ozone generators, one for the big tank and why not a small one for my 75g? They should arrive early next week. I'll be jumping the gun about 6 months by hooking one up to the 75g. My understanding is that I should place the Ozone tube and bubble stone in the reaction chamber of my Euroreef ESV-5 80g skimmer. Not a problem. But then I began wondering if it would be better to just use it at the air intake of the pump? Will it be expelled from the O3 stage before doing anything because of the turbulence and added O2 saturation? Will it damage the pump being added to the needlewheel like that?

Also I read that you should have a reaction area to vent off any remaining O3. HHhmmmm.... My understanding from readings also state that the O3 molecule is extremely unstable, reacting quickly to turbulence, O2, saturation etc... I'm having a hard time understanding whether the O3 bind will actually survive being tossed around in a skimmer reaction chamber, then pushed out a bubble riser tube and into a sump, from there over another bubble trap and finally through an Eheim 1262 impeller to do any harm in the display. Seems far fetched, but then again so do the claims of instant sanitization from the manufacturers, which goes against EPA and Govt. test findings. So do I really need to make a carbon sock for the skimmer output to run through to absorb the O3 and make it inert? Does not carbon foul within 3-4 days, thus reducing any ability to revert O3 into O2?
