At first I thought this was a dumb question. But I thought about it for a little, and now I'm not so sure.....
When deciding on a size for a skimmer, should you consider the size of the display tank? Or, do you consider total water volume?
My first thought is to use the total water volume. But the more I think about it, it seems that the bio load is all you need to worry about. Since this is determined by the display tank, it seems like this is the number to use. I'm guessing that most people go somewhere in between the two.
