I haven't posted in a long long time. I have been wanting some good hermit crabs, snails...and some other clean up crew creatures.

What I have:

29 gallon saltwater FOWLR.

and going to start up a 20 gallon FOWLR as well, this one I am going to move my clown fish too. so probably just clowns

My question is...Where is the best Online store to buy said creatures?
and how many do you think will fit in a 29 and 20 gallon?

When you decide to order, do a group order. Lots of people jump on board for Reeftopia. Saves on shipping.

Depending on how much you need to order, they have free shipping offers when you spend over a certain amount.

the prices seem to be really good, only ordering 50$. As far as when I order i really don't know, whenever I have a semi free week or weekend. I'm a student at UT, so what time I do have is devoted to my tanks.

I'll post when I decide to order to see if anyone wants to join in.

here is what I was thinking of getting

24 - blue legged hermits
12- turbo
12- nassarius
and maybe cerith and/or nerite.

Oh and one more thing I have a coralife 96 watt quad bulb that I need to replace...so any good Online store with cheap bulbs???

If you aren't in a hurry, it seems like about once a month or so, a group order gets put together.

I suggest some lettuce nudibrachs.

Next to the turbos, reeftopia lists "astrea" (i.e. astraea snails). Aren't astraea the snails that flip over and can't right themselves?

Check hellolights.com. Only problem with ordering a single bulb on line is the shipping costs tend to add up.

Just placed an order at Reeftopia, a place I have ordered from in the past with no problems. I was going to order my items individually until I did the total and saw that with shipping it came out to the same amount as one of their special packages that came with a little more and stated it had free box and free shipping. So I went with the special package only to find out they still ding you for a $10 "fuel surcharge", unfortunately you don't see that until you confirm the order right at the end. Kind of sneaky if you ask me and nullifies the "free shipping" advertisement.

Anyway, just a heads up to anyone placing an order soon.

In the top right corner of their website it says after the free shipping that there is a $10.00 fuek cgarge. I have done several group orders over the last 1 1/2 and it has always been there. just an fyi. I think they are a superior vendor.

Dittos to what David said. I've found these folks to be head and shoulders above other on-line vendors.

I know they are a good vendor, I've done several personal and group orders from them in past years. I just didn't like the advertising all over their website "Free shipping" and they only have 1 small notation about the $10 charge and it's in the upper right corner where no one looks. I've been on that site 20 times the past week or so and didn't know about it until they told me. Anyway, $10 fuel charge does not = free shipping.

Mhaynes - there is a page somewhere on their site that shows what time you have to order by and what days they ship in relation to what day you order. There is also a comment section so you can ask them to ship on a certain day as well. As mentioned by others, if you have concerns just call them and they will take care of you.

You can't order today for tomorrow delivery. You need to give them some lead time. I always place the order on Tuesday for Thursday delivery. It always arrives to me by 10:30 in the morning on Thursday

Actually, I placed my order late Monday night online, they processed the order Tuesday morning, and I got my shipment this morning, Wednesday. It's all a matter of what time you place the order as to when they can get it out in time for overnight shipping, which is all they do.
