It's been awhile since I've made the rounds of the LFS since I haven't had a tank in a year or so, but now that I'm setting up a 45g I've hit a few places this past week. I have to say that out of all the places I went to, CB Pets in Bulverde was the best. The store was clean, the tanks were clean, all livestock looked healthy, the people were friendly and the prices are great. They have some cool stuff, both drygoods and livestock. Richard, Mark, and the crew keep improving this store everytime I go out there.

I ended up buying a T5 light fixture and a couple of live plants for my 29g freshwater tank and almost 40lbs. of nice live rock that I got at about half the price I saw at other stores for my saltwater tank. Once my tank gets cycled and I start looking for livestock, I'll definately stop in again.

CB Pets is probably my favorite shop. I always thought it was far, until I realized that it was only about 15-20 minutes from my house, the same as Alamo...

Yuppers, CB's is one nice place, my favorite reef place, Richard is a whiz (did I just call you a whiz
Richard?) at chemistry and Mark, well....Hmmmm...lets see.....hmmmm, Mark....(haha) ...Oh yeah, Mark is just about the best photographer in existence, and a hell of a nice guy, always goes above and beyond....P.S. captexas, I was in the store when you were buying all your stuff, nice to put a face to your name...Danny

Thanks so much for the compliments!

I have been grumpy all day thinking that our tanks are looking crappy and need extra work. So I'm here late doing water changes, cleaning glass/skimmers....fun stuff.

This puts me in a much better mood. Thanks!

The only thing I don't like about CB Pets is they are so **** close to the house. There is always something there we "have to Have". We have to get a bigger tank because of it. But 'The Boys' in there are humorous and knowledgeable. My favorite combination.

Why are you guys dissing Mark? He gives way CHEAPER prices on items when Richard isn't there. But when he does, I do hear him mumble something like 'sticking it to the man' or something like that....

I am glad to see CB getting the praise it deserves, it's an A+++ store.

my only complaint? Tyler's a great Peon for Mark & Richard, but I miss tormenting Bobby.

(tormenting Tyler is fun as well though) ;) go ahead, he gives as good as he takes. lol

Went by Sunday and picked up sand, liverock and misc. to set up a sea horse tank for wife. As usual, friendly and helpful service, good selection of products. Thank you CB Pets. BTW I was going to pick up filter socks but forgot. Does CB carry them?

I know they used to at one time, not sure if they have any in stock right now. Give them a call or PM Richard or Mark.
