So.. I got them out. I readded a powder blue and orange shoulder on Wed. On thursday, I should have payed more attention. I put my hand in to put seaweed in and it stung my finger.. but... I thought it was because my hands were cut up from moving bricks and working outside and it was just the saltwater stinging my hands. Its been a rough week. My little sixteen year old sister is missing, and the cops will not classify it as a kidnapping or anything but a run away unless fowl play is suspected... :( Its been a really long week. When I got home last night, I didnt even look at my tank. I dropped my phone off down here on the charger and went upstairs so I would not hear it ring, didnt answer the door... I just wanted to browse and be stressfree...

This morning, alot of my fish are dead. I put my hand in and ZING... it was a much stronger zap.

Long story short, a glass heater cracked and my powder blue, orange shoulder, vlamingi, two wrasses, a lawnmower blenny, and ?? I still dont know what else.. dead!

:( My tank is driving me up the wall. I have the rocks again all tore apart.. I tried to make sure I got all the frags this time but who knows. Last week I lost four small frags during the tear apart get the damsels out incident after they killed the other fish. :(

So... my tank is right now tour apart. I still can not find the body of the orange shoulder but I have to find it as it wasnt small. I have found multiple crabs that are dead and a few that are in some sort of shock?? that are sitting there twitching.. not dead, but not alive. I am going to leave them alone and hope for the best. :(

man jynx, sounds like life is really beating you down... were all in your corner.

i can't offer advice for any of the more heavy stuff going on in your life, but i can for the cracked heater.

if were talking 'shatered' then you may want to go so far as to replace your sand bed if you have one... there is no telling what type of nasty came out of that tube when it cracked. at the very least, large water changes are in order.

hope all comes out ok... remember, all this is just temporary, and you will get past it.

Sorry to hear all the misfortunes!! :( I had a heater explode on me a couple weeks ago. Fortunately it was in the sump and tripped the breaker everytime it tried to kick on so nothing was ill affected by it. I guess what I am saying is "I wonder why her breaker didn't shut it off instantlly like mine did"? :unsure Sure made a nice pretty red underwater flash though. 8)

Jill,

Are the cops looking for her? How long has she been gone? Is there anything we can do to look for her, too?

Sorry to hear about your tank! It definitely doesn't help when you are already stressed/depressed.

Let me know if there is anything I can do... on either issue.

rob, I think you probably have a GFI, and jynxes tank is not hooked into one.

Jynx, any news on your sister? hope all is going well. you and your family are in our prayers.
