Sounds like a diatom outbreak. How old is the tank? I hear (and have experienced) these while setting up a new tank. Ater a week or so they went away...
But someone who is more knowledgeable please correct me :lol

jana,
pic would be great.
the discs the size of a pin head... that one i am not sure on...
the hollow tubes... were they hard? if so - vermatid snails... not harmful to anything but your fingers when you grab a rock and don't realize they are there. they will help keep your tank clean, but can also get mucus all over the tank if there are too many of them. otherwise, probably the husks of dead tube worms (since you just got the tank i am assuming it was moved w/o water in it) tube worms can not survive long in air and really should never be removed from the water if able, their bodies are supported by the water around them and are damaged in the air.
on the discs... do they move around? could be baby trochus or limpets.

If it is the same as what is in my tank they may be little dusters. I mainly have them on my back glass. If you look at them really closely you should be able to see a little duster coming from them. I have never ask the question before but I just figured that they where just a good sign my tank was doing good. Any one else have any thoughts?

Hard to tell from the pic but i would guess they are tiny little feather dusters. I had them on my glass for a while and would just scrape them off the front and sides. Never became a problem and i cant even see any anymore. Look really closely at them and if they are little dusters you should be able to see the tiny tiny little feathers
