Bristleworms Release Some Chemical?

I just got my filter up and running after a 3 day delay and when it came on my bristle worms perched themselves on the liverock and released some kind of chemical into the water. It made the water really mirky looking. Is this normal?

I though it might be poop but several of the worms were doing it at the same time and their tails were tranlucent and they were releasing whatever it was for minutes. I guess it could be spawning but I have no idea. I just thought someone else may of experienced it.

well you'll know if you have lots of babies in a little bit, though your skimmer probably got most of them.
