We have a 29 gallon biocube that we want to add a skimmer to.
Our problem comes in where to fit it.
My plan so far is to take out all the bioballs and place the skimmer in the 2nd chamber of the wet dry and raise the water level of the whole filter area. I also already use only filter floss and occasional carbon pads in the 1st chamber for better flow and particle trapping.
With this set up I would essentially add about 2 gallons to the water volume of my system. Our concern is if the tank will have enough natural filtration. We have 34 lbs of live rock and a sand bed about 2 1/2" deep.
