Does anyone know why they say you have to mount it above the water level? I was going to put mine in the cabinet.
suggestions/ideas?

You bought a Seio controller? PUNK!!
I'd think it was to protect it from water coming back down the cords but your guess is as good as mine.

I'm about to as long as there is no issue with where it is going. Marineandreef for $150...can't beat it!.

I have mine below the tank and it works just fine. I bet mike is correct.

As long as you have a "drip-loop", then everything should be fine.

Does it have a nightime setting? That thing looks cool! I did some checking on it and "it's niiiccee" (Borat voice)

The only bummer is that you must use certain units with it. It won't work on anything smaller then the 1100 if I remember correctly. I've got a handful of 620s and waned one for those.

One Maastard has his at the lowest setting (15 seconds) and they are very quiet. I had mine at 15 minutes and the pumps were loud. I changed it to 30 seconds and the pumps got quieter.
Unfortunatly no nighttime setting.
