Question on LFS

I have been reading some of the postings and noticed many people have said good things about Fin-Addict. With this noticed I will definatly stop by this weekend.
My question is has anyone stopped by this new place called Aquarium Designs off of 281 North, and if so what did you think? I only ask because it is just around the corner from me and has been pretty much my gateway to the hobby (aside from Alamo Aquatics, Ebay and now MAAST).

If your at 1604 and gold canyon Fin-addict is just as close..just exit bulverde and go all the way down till it hits nacogdoches. Aquarium Designs seems pretty nice though.

I have been to both. Felipe and Sara and Fin Addict are top notch people! BUt, so is Jason at Aquarium designs!! Both stores offer something different, so go check them both out. If you are in the armed services, Aq. Des. offers discounts to public employees military, police, fire, teacher.... Fin Addict gives Maast discounts. Both great stores.

I'll have to try them out also. I keep hearing great things about the store. Maybe they'll even give old fart retired military a discount. :D
When you go inside Bulverde Road take the left onto Classen and follow it down to Nacogdoches, they are on the corner there just to the right behind the gas pumps that have not attendant/building.

I agree, why not check out both of them? No two stores are alike and you might find certain things you like at both stores. I know I used to shop around at all of the stores, going to one store for one thing and a another store for a different type of thing.

Exactly why I can't pinpoint a favorite store here in town. Most of them are run by really cool and knowledgable people, and they always have different things than one another.

You could also hit up forever pets on Nacogdoches and O'Connor by whataburger (two stoplights further up from Fin Addict)
We try to hit up as many as possible on our weekends, it's nice to see all the different things other stores have to offer.

Thanks everone for the great info and sorry for posting this in the wrong forum (only been for 5 days). I have been to Forever pets and the owner yelled at me like a crazy woman :w00t no she really yeled at me for not knowing what she was trying to explain. Kinda staying away from there. You DEFINATELY need to talk to Louis. I've spent plenty of time at his place just talking reefing. I'll buy something every now and then, but really I just go to pick his brain and check out what he's got. Thing is, he really doesn't mind. Louis has always been very helpful.

(When you go to Aquatic Warehouse, take 281 S to the Nakoma exit. But, stay on the access road until you get to the light at Sandau. Turn left on Sandau, cross the bridge and take the first right which is Gulfdale. The shop is in the plaza to the left, so go in either the first or second driveway on your left.)

hey sa coastie. dont go to aquarium designs.....


theyre closed on tuesdays. but definately go on wednesday thursday friday saturday sunday or monday. all the lfs are great but Aquarium Designs is top notch. theyll have everything you need or want and if they dont have it, theyll probably be restocking it the same week anyway. great selection of fish and coral with really good prices. staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. i mean all the guys that work there shopped there before they started working there. thats gotta mean something.
