I used the calculator above for my Mg. My current is 1260, I want to raise it to 1350 in my water volume of 200g. I tried it with using the Epsom salt (an epsom is an epsom??). It's saying to add 27oz split into 2 doses. Using Randy's recipe it says like 290 tsp and to add it all at once in a high flow area.

1. both those amounts sound like one helluva lot to me?

2. Is all at once ok?

3. Is Epsom the same by brands?

Thanks

Rob

hmmm I already mixed about 1/2 that (10 oz) into a gal of RO/DI and then added 1/2 the mix. basically to see what that does. I will check in an hour or so. 1260 up to 1350 would be less than 100ppm/day, but GAWWD 27 ounces? :( :wacko

Thanks man

Well an hour or so after the 1/2 gal of 10 oz/1gal mixture I re-checked my Mg and it was at 1410 :unsure So I'm glad I didn't go dumping in some 27 oz!! :o

What did it do to your alkalinity and calcium levels? THose are the ones that you dont want a quick change, especially the alkalinity
