Lucky! Im pretty sure though you can buy some tablets or something to throw in there. Pretty sure the snails should be ok though without supplementing thier food. Goby on the other hand might need some if there isnt anything for it. If you really want to get algae growing ill let you swing by and check out my tank to simulate what i got going

Have to admit that this is a new question, usually it's how to get rid of algae. Try just buying the algae sheets and putting them on a clip or between rocks or something for the goby. I wouldn't think it would take too much for him, the snails are probably getting plenty that you just don't see.

I have the same problem. No algea. Even the macros in my fuge slowly go away. I put algea sheets in my tank and the snails have a buffet, but the tangs and other fish don't even look at it.

Pull some hair algea out of my nano and put in the tank, and all the fish go crazy for it.

What I did for my twin spot is crumble up some of the algae sheet and then put it in the sand around where he hung out. Seemed to like it after a while, but he would never actually eat from the sheet itself unless I crumbled it up small and placed it in the sand.
