On my stand for my tank one of the door henges came off. What happened is the screw going into the stand istripped out the hole and just fell out. What can i do to make the screw screw in solidly and hold?

Drill out the hole, get a wooden dowel that fits the hole, cut it to size, and glue it in.

exactly, just be sure you drill a pilot hole before you put the screw back in.

Or ... dip a tootpick in Elmers, shove it into the screw hole and snap it off. Wait an hour or so and put the scrw back in :)

Instead of elmers, use gorrilla glue (sold at home depot), much better stuff....

just dont use very much! it swells as it dries and it is difficult to remove after the fact.

Yeah i learned that the hard way. Great stuff though

I think im gonna go with the toothpick method...path of least resistance. Ill be back if it doesnt work :)

If the hole is large, repeat 2-3 times until the hole is filled with "splinters" - then don't over tighten the screw
