I've always heard good about euro reef skimmers, your tank looks so nice it'd be a pity to to a hob!

I bought an Octopus skimmer a few months ago and have been very happy. They are Bubblewheel skimmers like the ASM and EuroReef. However they are much cheaper.

Good Luck,
Kevin

I use the Octopus nw 200 on my 70g. sps tank and couldn't be happier. It's alot of skimmer for the $$.

I think this is pretty close to your budget - you might get Ace to downsize it a little to make your budget. I think my total with pump is just over $300:

For the money I'd shoot for the ASM first. Then reach for an ER. The Octopus skimmers have a huge footprint for as small a load as they handle. I'd wonder if it would fit in the sump as you said you had space constrictions.
