What effect does the use of coppersafe have on Live Rock does kill it or once the live rock has been in a tank that has been dose with coppersafe does it contaminate it?

from what i understand it contaminates it but when i used cuprimine or however you spell it i left the rock with pvc for fish luxury and just threw away the rock i figured it would make it feel much more safe for them. It wasnt that much rock anyway in a 20 gal tank

Yes it will contaminate the rock and kill any iverts that may be in the rock. It will also contaminate the silicone in a tank. That's why you'll see a lot of folks ask if a tank has ever had copper used in it prior to buying it. It may not be large amounts still in there, but enough over time that will affect your inverts.
