Ok folks, let's see if anyone has done something similar?

I am upgrading my PFO pendants from Mogul to DE/HQI.
Pendant like This One (http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PFO-400P10K&Category_Code=PFOp)

New HQI Socket is This one (http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=LN-HQI-S250&Category_Code=Sockets)

Problem is I need two metal brackets to raise the HQI socket up away from the reflector an inch or so - I don't think the socket itself has enough hieght?

Does someone make this type of standoff bracket, or do I just make them from sheet metal?

Any ideas or experience would be appreciated!

I think you could even make it out of a piece of thick acrylic

or get a piece of aluminum and stack it up behind the socket, should be easy enough to drill

Use aluminum. Salt does manage to creep up into those. And acrylic will probably melt... Mine are aluminum. HD should have small pieces of aluminum sheet - they charge an insane amount for them, but they have them.

FYI - PFO says this upgrade is a "Bad Idea" - wrong reflector, etc.
