From my experience I couldn't tell right away. They never opened up and started to dissolve in a few days.

Hence the request for a 2 hour notice. He knows it can take a day to figure out if the coral is good or not. Did the bag smell like death? Was it cloudy and murky? Zoas are quite hardy. Some might not make it but a few might.

You won't get squat from FedEX. Sorry. They are usually somewhat pleasant to deal with. I've had a few chragebacks due to broken goods. HOWEVER you cannot simply blame them for the weather we have been having. I heard today that 300 miles of I10 were closed. I know for a fact that the Austin Bergstrom Airport was closed today. I35 through Austin was closed last evening.

im not going to blame them for the weather my point is that i understand that they didnt want to put their drivers at risk but even though the box said LIVE ANIMALS on the side they didnt call me and ask if i wanted to come get it from their facitlity that is where i am upset the dealer already said that he would reship but i told him while he does that i am going to speak with fed ex CS and see if the will see my point im not expecting much but its worth a try

Does FedEx have some sort of policy regarding the shipment of live animals?

Yes, they do not allow it. I tried to ship a coral a few weeks ago and the employee wouldnt let me ship. I tried to explain to her that I do it alot and Ive never had trouble, and huge online retailers have accounts with them, etc..
She called into customer service and they read the policy to me and FedEx prohibits the shipment of fish and inverts...
