I have a Nano Cube 12g Dx that has been great. I'm thinking of getting another one or maybe the Nano Cube 24g. I like the simplicity and design of an all-in-one setup.

I've been looking at some of the other all-in-ones like Aquapod, Bio Cube, Finnex, AquaMedic and so on. What is your experience and opinions about these pertaining to quality, value, and heat issues?

Here is my absolute favorite all in one!

The 20g M-Tank by Finnex USA - Nano-Reef (Refugium) Edition @ Nano Tuners.

I guess I should have set a price limit. That one is awsome but out of my price range. I'm looking for something under $250.

Ok Chris, the question was :P :

What is your experience and opinions about these pertaining to quality, value, and heat issues?

I've done my research on price, specs, and functions. I'm looking for recommendations and reasons to back it up.

Quality: Finnex
Value: Finnex
Heat Issues: None with Finnex and I have a 150w halide over it
:)
I had a NC12DX and I really didnt like it. I like the Finnex because the build quality is there, customer service is outstanding!!! which is definatly a plus in this hobby. Also, not many people seem to have them like the NC or Biocube. My only complaint with Finnex would be the skimmer it came with (although the others dont come with one) I just slapped a nano remora on there and it works great

Well... most all-in-one aquariums have heat issues. Have you thought about purchasing a nano and a chiller. Nano Tuners has the ICA (integrated chill assist) and the make it to fit many models of nano's. Of course this would push your budget.

I am a big fan of the JBJ NC. Their product has proven to be reliable to me. Although I have modded it a bit, I am more than certain I would customize any other tank I purchased.

EDIT: The JBJ NC is glass, this is a big plus for me.

Couple of ideas to ponder.

Time for bed now!

I got a Cadlights 22 Gal for Christmas and love it. It is all glass, you have the option of a Wet/Dry or Refugium ( I have Fuge), and nice lighting. The front and side panels are all one piece that are curved. There are 2 lighting options. Mine has the 6 bulb T5HO light which sounds like it is more than you want to spend. They also have a 4 bulb T5 setup that is $219. Both models have separate switches for the actinics and normal lights. So far I have have not had any heat issues. The tank sits between 77 - 80 depending on the temp in the house. I bought the optional glass lid, when it is fully closed, I have noticed that the temp goes up. If you open it, the temp goes down. Check a few post down and you can see pics of mine.

My daughter has one of these from oceanpro aquatics:

They are pretty nice. However, one of the fixtures has burned out and I have to send it back to them under warranty. And, it really needs fans. But, the price is REAL hard to beat. I spent $12 and put some fans into it.

TXKev,
Cool looking tank but I think I'm looking for something with an enclosed canopy. I plan on putting it in my living room and I think the light will be distracting if I'm watching a movie. In the summer when I have my top up on my Nano Cube the light is distracting.

Sean,
I like the Finnex tanks but I'm looking for a glass tank. Plus, it has the same issue with the lighting as TXKev's tank and it's a little out of my price range.

Bill,
Can't beat that price but the lighting seems to be a little low. What does your daughter have in her tank?

Does anyone have any opinions on the Aquapod?

Nothing's in it. She killed everything. Lighting seems pretty good. I don't know that SPS would grow, but remember, this thing really only holds about 8 gallons. And, it's glass.

My Aquapod 24 with 64w PCs is only $169 at Drs Foster and Smith. Shipping was only $15. I think it's a good deal.

I have an aquapod 24 w/64 w of light. I love it. It is doing better than my 100 . I have a maxijet 900 for extra flow and the zoas, shrooms and everyone are happy. The one problem I have is heat in the summertime. It gets a little above 80. So, this summer I will try a chiller from www.nanotuners.com This is the one i am thinking about. http://www.nanotuners.com/product_info.php?cPath=34&products_id=290

I wish my Nano Cube stayed around 80 in the summer. So, good reviews for all the major brands. Decisions decisions...
