is anyone using retractable light fixtures over their tank? if so how did you do it?

I will have MH pendants over my new set up and want to be able to raise/retract the pendants upward when I need to do a little work in the tank and then let them down when I'm done. My idea is to have each pendant with it's own mechanism that way I and raise and lower them independantly depending on what part of the tank I need to work on.

Any suppliers, part numbers and/or pictures you might have would help.

Thanks

Well I have seen people use bike lifts. A pulley system that will raise your bike in your garage. Transfer it over to the reef hobby, you build a light rack that supports your pendants/reflectors and attatch that system to it. For independent service, you could copy the design and make your own by purchasing pulleys, rope, and eye bolts. If you do install one, make sure you add a safety lanyard/chain that will prevent the pendant/reflector from actually hitting your tank, in the case of the pulley system coming undone.

Brian(greenmako) just did a similar system on his tank:

Gardman Hi-Lo Basket Swivel Hook (http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/RTProduct.asp?SKU=GAR-R779&src=froogle&kw=GAR-R779)

Check these out. I haven't tried them but I bet they would work great with a pendant.
