65W 10k and 65w 12k

Would there be any big difference in the bulbs? I have a light and it currently has 10k in it, but a friend just gave me some 12k. Would I be able to just put them in. The plugs are the same and so is the wattage. Is there anything that I should be concerned about?

The 12K will have a little more blue, other than that they sould be fine. Are you talking PC lights?

From what I have found they are the straight pin power compact bulbs. So would the 12k be better, or should I stay with the 10k. I also have 2 65w actinic blue running also.

It's a personal preference thing. Put them in and see what you like better is really what that comes down to. 10K you'd get a little quicker growth but you may like the colors you get out of your corals more with the 12K.
