The pump on my aquapod 24 has been acting strange(it stops for no reason). I have cleaned it and it still stops for no reason. It flows 290 g/ph. Can I replace it with a maxijet 1200 I have laying around? Or is the a better solution?

The maxi would probably work just fine. If you really feel like spending some money though, I put an Ehiem Compact Pump 1000 in my 22 gal nano and am very happy with it. It is rated at 260 but it seems much stronger than a Maxi 1200. It is also adjustable so if you have something else to create flow in the tank, you can turn it down. I paid $29.99 for mine locally.
Good Luck,

I have a Maxijet 900 and two Rio 400's in my 24g NC. I love the flow.
