View Full Version : Whats in McAllen, TX for saltwater hobby? Looking for coral

I will be in town several times in McAllen over the next few weeks. Since Laredo has nothing to offer, I'm wondering if McAllen/Edinburg has something to offer. Either members or stores who are willing to frag or sell corals and stuff would be awesome.

Has anyone ever been to E-Quatics in McAllen on Nolana? I saw the pet listing here on Maast.

Let me know if anyone is willing to sell some LPS or softies soon, or if there are any good stores locally. Again, my home town has nothing.

El Tejano, the yacht club, RJs, Mint... oh wait those are all night clubs!lol No really I was down there for a while and I never saw any lfs.I asked around quite a bit and check the phone books.

lol...yeah there is a place called E Aquatics. Its on Nolana. I have never been, but will probably be there on Tuesday, since Monday is closed.

E-aquatics is the only store other than petland here in mcallen. They closed exotic pet world a couple of months back. You might want to get in contact with Rick, he goes by the name of marlin here on maast. He always has frags.

I don't think it is on Nolana, I think it is on 10th street. If you are going N. from 83 then it is on the left or East side of 10th street just north of Pecan. Good luck, when I was in Mc Allen they had nothing there. Atleast comparing to S.A.

I do not have a business, I'm just a reefer like you, but I do have some frags at my house if you're interested. let me know and we can set up a time in the evening. I can give you directions to my home.

BTW....E-Aquatics is on Nolana and Petland is on North 10th street.

Really where at on Nolana? It has been a year since I have lived there but I should be going back in about a month or so.

Haha, the funny thing is that I used to live right there also. I lived in the Rincon Apts. on Mc Coll and Nolana.
