The Clown Trigger is a Dr Jeykell, Mr. Hyde character. In the past I would buy small Juviniles and raise them up. Sometimes they would get up to 6" before getting mean. The last one went ballastic at 2". I promised my wife no more, so i am Clown Triggerless. I have a Sohal in one of my tanks and I would think he could stand up to a Clown Trigger. As for a clown fish since there really isn't any competition for the trigger that should not be a problem. Make sure you add eveyone else first before the trigger. One of the best fish I had that did well with two of my Clown Triggers was a Flame Angel, neither one of them ever bothered the Flame.

Scratch the comments on the Clown then if it's a Tang your referring to? Only had one of those about twelve years ago and it didn't live very long. Sorry about the confusion.

yeah i was talking about a clown tang but i would really rather have a sohal over the clown. Hows your sohal doing? how fast did he grow and does he tear everyone up like i keep hearing?

One of the best fish I ever owned. I bought one because Felipe had one in his big grow out tank and he was so friendly. So I had Wolf Reef on a Cali order pick me up the smallest one he could find. They are extremely hardy. He is with a semi adult blue face angel that I grew from a 2 1/2" juvi and a medium Copperband. When I first put the Copperband and Sohal together the Sohal would chase the CBB all over the place, what was weird was the CBB never had any fins torn and when I would feed the CBB would take food from the Sohal. For the most part the Blue Face and the Sohal are on the same level and the Sohal and CBB are best of Buds.

cool that definitely makes me consider getting one. im actually going to wolf reef today to see their new shipment im gonna ask him about getting me one the next time he goes, if i can wait! how big was the one he ended up getting you? and how many other fish did you end up adding after the sohal? right now i have a yellow belly hippo tang and a coral beauty who i think can stand up for herself considering she would beat up on my puffer when i had him lol

3 1/2" and I only have the three in a 155g. The only thing I forgot to mention is the Sohal is a pig when it comes to eating, can you say vaccum cleaner.

I don't think either of them should be housed in a 100 gallon tank, both these fish will get over a foot in length much less both of them. I wouldn't consider any of them until you do upgrade.

The 240 gives the fish alot of swimming room since it's 8FT long and you can get 240's for around $600 dollars from www.glasscages.com. There are lots of fish you can keep in a 100 gallon tank, you may want to go to www.liveaquaria.com and checkout the fish that you like, the site will tell you what the minimum tank size required for each species.
