I got a call from Aquatek today and they had gotten a few of the 6045's in and had 2 of them waiting for me. I put them into my 90 and they really give me some nice flow. It doesn't produce the power of my Modded maxi-jet, which is a good thing. I had a hard time finding a position in the tank where the maxi did not overpower my corals. They also look so much cooler than the maxi and the Seio I had in there.

Nice. Update us on how well they work in the upcoming weeks. I'm looking to get 2 of them so I would like to know how well the 1st batch turned out ;)

yup, also interested, would much rather put two of these in than have to plumb up my oceans motions for the 30 cube. (friggin SCWD has jammed up twice in a single month.)

Ram, are you using a pre-filter on the scwd? Ive had one running for over two years and have yet to have to clean it and its never locked up.

I'm using a pair of the 6025s on my corner tank, anxiously awaiting the 6045s. Premium still does not have them but is expecting a few early next week.

From what they told me at Aquatek, only 7 made it to the US this week. I was so glad I put my name on the list. So far they seem to provide pretty good flow. They also look so much better than the Seio and modded Maxi. I also like the fact that they have the magnet holders. I was always so worried the suction cups would give and create a sandstorm.
Thanks,
Kevin

how much are each model running for?
Jim, No, I just have the grate on there... the scwd was never meant as anything but a temporary measure on this tank anyhow, and I am doig my best to get power heads OUT of the tank in general.

The 6045's are $96.63 at Premium Aquatics. With the way Tunze does their pricing, its going to be that price everywhere. Thats fine with me. Seems like a good deal for 1,189gph @ only 8w. Plus it comes with a integrated magnet mount :)
I have seen some other online stores(can't recall which ones) doing a $40 deposit for the 6045's, and the remaing balance when they come in.

if I get some, I will be getting the 6025's.
would 2 in each corner of a 30 cube be overkill you think? i'd have them on a controller for wavemaking.

I'll be selling my pair of 6025s if the 6045s don't kick up a sandstorm in my tank. If they do, I'll sell the 45s. I spoke with Premium and I'm getting the 6045s next week; I've been on the wait list since August. Since these things are in real demand, I'm pretty sure I won't have any problem selling them. The 25s are producing really good flow in my corner tank; it's just that my tank is right in between the recommended size for each pump. If the 45s do work out it will be 2600gph in a 50 gallon tank with no noise and 60 watts.

I think the 55's are the controllable ones.
Are the 45's the same size as the 25's?

The 45's are same as the 55's in terms of gph. The 45's are just NOT controllable. The 55's are, and therefore almost $100 more. :)

The 6045's ran me $96 each. The way mine are setup I have no problems with sand blowing. I went in to Aquatek today and they had 3 of the 6025's on the shelf. So far am am loving mine.
