well, somehow, it still managed to find its way into the canister filter's intake.

so i wake up about 15 minutes ago to a semi-cloudy tank, bta is stuck in the intake. corals are all open, gsp's still open, galaxia still open. the clown thats in there is hanging out near the bottom, not breathing hard, but not moving around all that much. i did a 50% water change already, should i plan on another in 12 hours or so? i dont want my reef wiped out over this and im hoping that i caught it in time.

i went to sleep around 11:30, woke up around 4:45. i figure he was dead at least 3 hours.

well, the clown is moving around more now, hes doing his up/down motions again. all the corals that had polyps extended are still extended. the ricordeas i have are still out and not closed up. my zoas are all closed, but thats how it is when the tanks asleep.

what % chance do i have that this will wipe out my tank?

should i clean the media in my canister filter also?

yes, you need to get all remaining pieces of it out before it causes a amonia spike.

i've not had them do much damage, if any, in my tank. i'd run some carbon in a canister filter for a couple days, but i wouldn't expect that you'd probably lose anything.

i put carbon in as soon as i finished the 2nd 50% water change about 3 hours ago. so far, all the corals and polyps are extended... the clown has his color back (the black on him was really light, but its back to normal now) and the water is clear. i guess having a 5" sandbed and alot of rock is a good thing :)

i didnt find any pieces of it when i added carbon to the canister filter.
