Do you have any photos of your setup? It might make pinpointing them a little easier on here ;)

Is your sump drilled? I bet it's not. When you plumbed in the pump you probably ran the hose over the side of your sump in which case there is a small amount of air in the line causing the bubbles. It will take a couple of weeks to clear out, or you could drain and drill your sump keeping the pump below the water level.

another option, is cavitation. your pump could be 'thrashing' the o2 right out of the water if it's overpowered for what the pipes can actually accomodate flow wise.

Also, make sure no micro bubbles are reaching your intake from within the sump itself. that was the problem I had initially w/ the 120.

my sump is drilled with 2 3/4" returns i have two 800gph pumps for returns... i have filter blocks in the overflow of the sump and am fairly certain that the sump is not the cause....i am going to turn each pump off and redo the threading again and place some vasaline on the union o rings hopefully this will be the end of it

DONT use vasaline! use a silicon lubricant or more teflon tape. vasaline is a moisturizer for your lips, not your o-rings! it WILL degrade them.

I doubt that cavitation is your problem wither w/ what you have described.

Since you have 2 pumps and therefore 2 sets of plumbing, have you narrowed it down to one set of pipes yet? That could save a little grief.
