Okay, I know a bunch or atleast a few of us got the new 6025's. Have any of you knoticed a slight pulsating/slight rattle type noise coming from the pump? I have put my ear up to the magnet that is outside the tank and I can really hear it. I opened up the nanostream and found that the propeller is only secured by a shaft that is only secured on one side rather than two, as I've seen on other powerheads. The shaft has a tiny bit of play and the hole the shaft sits is made of plastic, or atleast it looks like it. When I watch the propeller as it is running, with a flashlight shining on it in the dark, I knotice the prop will have pulsating vibrations here and there. Not too heavy of vibrations but I'm a worry wart and I knotice everything!

This is my first Tunze and I'm worried that this vibration may make more and more play between the shaft holding the propeller and the plastic on the base that holds that shaft. If that happens the only solution looks like the whole Motorblock (Tunze part 6025.10) would have to be replaced.

Anyone else getting these symptoms? Should I be concerned? Should I return it? What should I do? It's not an extremely expensive pump but I would be very sad to see it not last for the money.

Even though its still new, I hope their quality did not get jeopardized for the smaller more inexpensive pumps. Tunze makes quality equipment. You can always shoot your questions/concerns over to Roger on ReefCentral in the Tunze forum. If you don't get any hits here, he could possibly research it for you. He is located up in Austin and for those that don't know, he is also the Tunze USA representative. Nice and convieneint. ;)

Mine made a little noise when I first started them up, but it went away over the first few hours. They're now quieter than the maxijets they replaced. If you're concerned I'd bring it back to Aquatek (I assume that's where you got it) and have them fire it up with a different one to see if yours is unusually noisy. If you have to put your ear up to the magnet to hear it, I suspect it's a pretty normal noise.

I can here it when I don't have my ear up to it, but I have put my ear up to it to make sure it is the source. It does click when I just plug it in. It's not a very loud noise, I've just been studying it lately since I recently got it. I thought Tunze was quality too, so that is why I'm wondering if it is just my pump.

Look at the front of the pump while it is running, at the prop blade. Do you knotice slight vibrations or jostling of the prop every 3-4 seconds? It is a slight jostle, nothing extreme but may get worse I don't know. I'm just trying to figure if mine is worse than others and should I look at returning it or something else.
