My blenny is breathing hard and doesn't seem to close his mouth, i noticed a different website said to put him in QT and try to feed him by himself but it doesn't seem to be working. He is just refusing to eat, anyone have any ideas to get him to live? He doesn't look to good. thanks -Amir-

A little more information would help out alot. What type of blenny? Information about the tank that the fish was in will also help.

as far as feeding try some Garlic xtreme, it's a strong attractant, and usually help with finicky eaters.

Unfortunately, by the time they are breathing hard and not eating, it's pretty much over IME. :( Hopefully, yours will have a better outcome. How are the other fish in the tank behaving?

the other fish are doing pretty well, and i actually did run out and get some garlic Xtreme and some bryne shrimp but unfortunetly he ended up dying on me. :-( Well anyone have any idea what happened? I really dont have a lot of livestock now other than my cleaner crew but id still like to know what happened to hopefully prevent it next time. Im runnning a 60 gallon tank with about 100 nassarius snails, 60 red leg hermit crabs, 1 percula, 1 arrow crab, 1 fire shrimp, 1 conch (sp?), 1 sand sifting star fish, and about 60 pounds of rock. My sump has 2 parts one part is my refugium and the other is my return, the return contains a protein skimmer, 1 phosphate bag and 1 charcoal bag (charcoal bag was removed the week of the death). The percula seems to be breathing and eating fine, the only problems ive had with the tank were a case of ick that i cured last month, but everything seemed to be eating fine except the blenny. So anyone have any ideas what happened or any improvements i could make? thanks -Amir-

How did you "cure" your ich problem, by the way? Did you med the tank, or drop salinity?

I used Ich Attach to fight the ick
