lighting??/

Im about start the lighting on my 150g. I was wanting to know how much of a growth would you get if you had a morning and afternoon setting. To make it look like a sun rise and sunset. Is there a big growth differnts?

cause I was planning on running 4 VHO ACTINIC and 3-250 14k MH. But then I was thinking if there was a big differnts in grown I would add two more lights on each side for the raise and fall. If someone would help me on this.. thanks

You wont notice more growth by simulating dawn and dusk, it will just look cooler.

Sounds like with the VHO's and MH you will be simulating what quite a few of us here already run. I run my PC actinics for 4 hours alone, then I add my MH for 6 hours and finally a 2 hour cool down period with only PC's. I've read a lot of places that 4 hours is generally the most photosynthesis a coral will use in one day. The rest of the time it's just a matter of prefference as to what you like the look of.
