I was wondering if you guys could give a little insight on placement of powerheads. I have a 75gal rr oceanic tank w/ 2 seio m820. I also have a red sea wavemaker. My live stock consists of 1 LTA, zenia, tube anemone, hammer coral, leather, green mushrooms, 2 perc's, 1 blue tang, 1 keyhole ange, 1 sixline wrasse and some cleaner shrimp. I was wondering how should I place these powereheads for the best possible wave action for them? Any and all positive feed back would be greatly appreciated.

On the back corners/sides of the tank aiming towards the middle front. That will help break up the flow into random flow. Just imagine a big triangle pointing towards you with the powerheads on the opposite sides.

so your saying to put one on each corner facing up towards the center of the tank? thanks for you feed back. Also, I am the guy you sold the water chiller to. Just to let you know that unit is working great. I appreciate that. Well worth it.

Keep the pumps horizontal. Depending on where your corals are sitting, I would aim for dead center of the front glass, halfway up from the sand bed. That will help break up the flow and bounce backwards in more of a random direction. Especially if you use two pumps, one on either end. You may have to experiement on the locations just a bit, depending on how much sand moves around and your rock & coral placement. You don't want too much direct flow on soft corals.
