i bought a bta a couple days ago, it looked great for a day then the next morning i couldn't find it..i searched off and on all day with no luck.. last night i started an extensive search starting with the sump, then fuge, then overflows , then started moving live rock. i tore the tank apart from one side to the other and not one little hint of an anemone anywhere, so far water is testing normal and i will contiue to test to make sure,, but i have no clue what could have have happened to it,, my wife saide she swq it right when the light came on yesterday then when i looke for it a couple hours later it was gone :( i think i received one of those new maastard NInja BTAs :ph34r

I have a few that live in my sand bed. They extend out and at different times they will completely retarct under the sand to never be seen. I've added about 5 anemones to my tank over the last year. Some wander off. I figure they've met their end and get a replacement. 3 months later lo and behold, here comes anemone number one around a corner of rock. I just saw a horseshoe crab I added to the tank over a year ago. I hadn't thought about it in about 11 months. the suddenly up it comes over a pieceof rock and dives right back into the sand.

Hey tex, do you have a maxi jet pump in your tank....I had a BTA and the same thing happened to me....Placed it in the tank looked great that evening, next day gone like the wind...after a long search i found very small traces of him all over the back of the tank...he had been sucked up buy a pump and was torn to shreds...
