Loud Ballast

I have a ballast to drive my 2 250w halides. Just lately the ballast seems to have gotten really loud. It makes a loud humming noise. Is there anything I can do? Does this mean the ballast is about ready to go out? It is around 2 years old.

Most ballast are guranteed for two years. Check your warranty

Dave, what type of ballast? Magnetic or Electronic?

If magnetic, and yours fails, I have a spare dual PFO magnetic you are more than welcome to borrow. Just PM me if you need it.
