How did all the experiments on LED lighting turn out?.. Did anyone make it work for reef lighting?.. or just moonlight? I found a bunch of threads.. but none had the final results as far as I saw..

Thanks!

PFO has a new LED light system out called the Solaris. I've seen a couple of pics and it looks nice and really blue, but geez it's freaking expensive. It's WAY overpriced. The one I saw was $2200 for the 48" fixture.

I saw it in person at MACNA a couple of weeks ago. In my opinion, they still have a ways to go before it will replace other "conventional" reef lighting, if ever.
