Well, it's looking about time for birthing again. I've got a male that's getting big again. I don't have the time or resources, so if anyone is interested in trying, just drop me a note with your cell phone number to bstreep@satx.rr.com. When/if they come AND I'm around, I'll call and you can come get them. I'm going to be gone this weekend, so if they come then, I won't be around to call you.

You mean that you are not going to pace back and forth in front of the tank :roll

Nah. But, if history repeats itself, we'll have babies in the AM...

What type of seahorses are they?

They probably would make great Angel fish food. Not the answer you were looking for I bet. Good luck with them.

Hippocampus kuda, I believe. Black.

Bill, the last batch became "food". Not a big deal, 'cause there's no way I can raise the.

I know there are a few people who can take them here in houston. They are easy to ship from what I hear. Contact KrAs on MARSH if you want.

What is required to raise them... I have a beautiful 40gal full of pods and no other fish. What do the fry (are baby seahorses fry?) eat?

you need green water and rotifers for about a week, then you can start feeding baby brine shrimp. ask OU81PEZ to see if he wants them or if he will give a kreel set up for raising them.

OK, I've gotten LOTS of volunteers to take these - including Rich from Houston wanting me to ship them. If they come in the next 16 hours, I'll start calling people. If not, it won't be until Sunday when I get back from the lease.

I have a spare set up to raise the little guys that was given to me I could let go of. I'm still building a suitable station to raise them as well as the food to feed them. The "set up" is a 10gal tank, heater, hob power filter, modified fish bowls, air pump and airlines.

if anyone has sea horses next year... (from maybe february on..) I would definately be interested in buying some!.. Right now my tank just isn't ready for them... and as much as I would love some of the babies.. it just isn't fair to them if I don't have food ready...

yeah.. I'm so jealous of you that have them!
