in the past I had those #@$%*'s but they mostly got on my newly cut frags. If the frag was healing fine then they couldn't bother it but if the frag was having a hard time recovering they were right on it.

Hope you got to it in time.. it should heal fine for you.

Are those the little 6 arm starfish with the uneven arms??? I have had these also but have never seen them damage my coral.

yeah, some will have only a couple of arms and some will have a few more.

I didn't want to believe it myself as I had been told they make great detrivors. Yet I began getting frsh cut frags and sure enough I found one wiping out my frags. Realy bummed me out.

I had one take out a nice blue-tipped acro frag about 3 weeks ago or so. I plucked him out and sent him down to the Austin wastewater processing plant. Hope I don't see anymore. Good luck, Ace.

IME the brown odd legged stars are bad and the blue ones are fine. I've had the blue ones in my tank forever and they have never bothered anything but the algae.

Enigma, I've got blue-tip frags if you need another. :skeezy

Mike- Well, what I was thinking is that if he could survive living in the sewer pipes and through the treatment process and still reproduce it is natural selection at its purest, I wouldn't want to interfere with that.

Jeremy, thanks for the offer but I have already replaced the frag.

these odd legged stars that I have are not brown or blue but a creamy-grey color. they are very small less than half the size of a pencil eraser.

But what if you created the one star that did? It would all be your fault.........
