65 gallon 21" Diameter barrels

I need two new barrels to make water...only a limited space in my utility room and need to find a small diameter barrel and I found this one online that has a 21" diameter (65G) that would work great but the price is just scary... so does anyone happen to know of anyplace that I could find something like this local or online but at a better price???

Holey smokes that is pricey! If your area is too tight for a decent trashcan you could make one? Make it out of 3/4 plywood (with some plywood eurobracing around the top) and seal the wood/seams with fiberglass and fiberglass resin. I've made sumps for large tanks using those materials and they worked great. You should be able to make 2 containers that size from 1 sheet of plywood and a 35$ gallon can of resin (= ~50$). You want to do several thick coats of the resin letting it dry btwn coats. Oh and a respirator isnt a bad idea.

Good idea but don't think it will get by my wife ascetically speaking... was hard enough to get her to take to the idea of making the water in the house as it was… ;)

Actually they were kinda nice looking when done. If you sand off the lettering on the wood it looks like a heavily shelaced wood box. I have a top off container for my work tank that I hid under a cheap table and table cloth. Cant see it at all... Spill a bucket of water on the floor carrying it in a few times and she wont care what your container looks like anymore!
